Match highlights

Nine days, 214 matches, one unforgettable final — inside the summer open that stopped the whole club.

Overview

Our summer open started as a members-only weekend. This year it became a nine-day festival: graded draws for every level, junior showdowns on center court, food stalls on the lawn, and a men's final that needed a third-set tiebreak and brought the fence line six deep.

The challenge

Two hundred players across eight draws on eighteen courts — without wrecking the daily program. Scheduling, officiating, and live scoring had to run like a pro event on a club budget.

The approach

Staggered start times by level, volunteer umpires from the senior squad, live scores on the clubhouse screen, and finals moved under lights with seating, music, and a proper trophy ceremony.

Outcome

The biggest entry in club history, a waiting list for next year before the trophies were engraved — and a highlight reel the juniors still quote at practice.
